Take Me Out to the Ballgame.....!!

Last night we went to see the Salt Lake Bee's game.....This is our version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame!".......take me out with the crowd..........buy me some peanuts..........and cotton candy..........and snowcones.....
.....I don't care if I never come back.....
(we are just having a GREAT time)

.....then it's root!, Root!!, ROOT!! for the home team (here comes the Wave, Grandma!).....
.....I don't care if they win (and they didn't...not even close).....
.....then it's 1!, 2!, 3 strikes you're Out!.....

.....at the old ball game. (will they catch that fly ball?)

Who cares if they lost the game....here come the fireworks.....

Saturday at Thanksgiving Point

Saturday we went to Thanksgiving Point; it was such a beautiful day when we started out we all said we just had to get out of the apartments...but, when we got there it started to rain.......Mom said, "Oh, come on let's look at the gardens anyway. It's not that bad and anyway we won't melt!"... I went to pay for our admission to the garden area and the lady at the desk asked if we were "local"; we said yes and she said they had just dug up all the tulips and were barely beginning to plant the summer annuals so she thought we would be better off coming back next week (not sure if we'll make it then), but we went back to the water tower area and found the hidden garden; these are pictures taken there...

...it was beautiful! And after we enjoyed this garden (for free) we spent our money on delicious hot fudge sundaes at the creamery... Yum!

It stopped raining about the time we finished our ice cream...but we had a nice outing anyway and it wasn't too hot.

I bought Mom a digital camera for Mother's Day and wrote the essential instructions on a tag that she still has dangling from the wrist strap, but she took these pictures and I think she did a great job. She still asks where she has to wind it before she takes a new picture and when I asked if I could download them to my computer she thought she wouldn't be able to see them unless she came to my apartment. When we made prints of the pictures she wanted she couldn't understand that the pictures were still on the SD card and she could see them when ever she wants. New technology is pretty confusing for someone who is almost 90!
